this is a new/recent 'problem' occurring now, after SEVERAL attempts - today. i recognize parts & pieces w/in the report log: (1) MOST recently (yesterday) installed & dinked-around the "librewolf" browser...resulting in my own mixed experience a/o pos./neg. satisfaction. (2) also, recently & questionably successful / plus prob. MORE directly related to the 'reading package lists...release file' fetch failure mentioned - sysbench (an open-source, scriptable, multi-threaded benchmarking tool used to evaluate the performance of CPU, memory, file I/O, and database systems) @ https://github.com/akopytov/sysbench
don't know to just wait it out & 'try later' or ask for recommended thoughts...meny grais!

The akopytov package is a problem.
What instructions did you follow to install it ?
Whatever you did needs to be reversed.

Moved to Updates section.

What instructions did you follow to install it...from w/IN the github.com/akopytov/sysbench that i referenced (~ a quarter of the way down the page). here, MAYBE, is a more DIRECT link to the said Quick install instruction for Debian/Ubuntu from Binary Packages
https://github.com/akopytov/sysbench#ins...y-packages

curl -s https://packagecloud.io/install/reposito...ipt.deb.sh | sudo bash

sudo apt -y install sysbench)

...somewhere else (?), the last (or the 3rd terminal line-entry, & that i can also see from my terminal history) was:

sysbench cpu run

...MUCH calamity ensued (sys locked-up/ended up w/ brute forced shutdown/multiple reboot/s/etc.) & after i put it & myself to bed for the night i came back in earlier this AM & ran the package updater that said updates needed to be done.

Whatever you did needs to be reversed...thanks, Captain(!)
