I am trying to connect the Yamaha music keyboard PSR-e473 as a MIDI controller keyboard in Linux Lite OS.

However, it is not showing and is undetected by my PC running LinuxLiteOS 7.8
I had checked the cable; it is working perfectly with other devices, and the keyboard is recognized by the other device as a MIDI controller.

It will be great if any one of you can guide or share reference documentation for further troubleshooting.

Hi there !

I bought a new battery shell to my old laptop. At the very hour of the purchase, I did the tip of charge it for 8 hours. Eventually the machine begun to suddenly shut down, even when the battery displayed 40% before the power off.

I already tried several times to drain the battery to zero and then charge it to 100% ― another tip I read at the forums.

Someone knows what can I do at the specific Linux Lite situation for calibrate my battery?

Now here with Windows 11 really am done with all the optimizations , restarts , group policy editor and stripping down system components just for privacy and speed. Stumbled across this build but before diving in. I need some pointers on how to get the same software for my devices.

AMD 4800H GPU + Nvidia 3050Ti
Universal x86 Tuning Utility
Fiio K5 Pro (DSD64/128/256 Mode, 32-bit Mode, Jriver Media Center, ASIO Driver)
MSI Afterburner + Riverturner (Overclocking 3050Ti, On Screen Display)
AMD 4800H GPU + Nvidia 3050Ti
In Windows under system > display > Graphics, adding the games .exe and selecting power saving (AMD) / high performance (nvidia). I am unsure how this works under linux and when does linux switch between , or are you limited to one , when when I force when app doesn't switch ...
Universal x86 Tuning Utility ( https://amdaputuningutility.com/ )
Under windows this program allows me control CPU Power/Temp limit/VRMs. I also use PBO Scalar and Core Offset. This is important because my LAPTOP is a locked BIOS, What programs are available for Linux?

Fiio K5 Pro
Music collection is mostly FLAC 16-bit but Vinyl DSD are WAV 32-bit converted and I'm not sure how Linux Audio works here. Windows audio panel with K5 drivers installed runs 32-bit 44.1Khz mode. Jriver Media Cetner takes over my device when I press play because of the ASIO drivers, does this work the same under Linux?

MSI Afterburner + RiverTurner
This app is staple over many many years and not sure how this works under linux, looking for overclocking and on screen display support for games

Hi everyone,

I recently installed Linux Lite 6.4 on my Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14IAN8, and I'm having trouble getting the touchpad to work. The touchpad worked perfectly fine in Windows, but it's not even being recognized by Linux Lite.

I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:

BIOS: Confirmed that the touchpad is enabled in the BIOS settings.
FN Keys: Tested all FN key combinations (Fn + F6, Fn + F8, etc.) with no effect.
Drivers: Installed and updated the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics driver.
GRUB: Modified the GRUB configuration with various parameters (i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs).
X11 Configuration: Verified that the touchpad isn't disabled in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf.
Blacklisted Modules: Confirmed no touchpad-related entries in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf.
Hardware Switch: Checked for a physical switch, but my model doesn't have one.
Reinstalled Input Drivers: Reinstalled xserver-xorg-input-all without success.
Kernel Modules: I also tried manually loading the psmouse and elan_i2c kernel modules, even though they weren't listed in the output of lsmod, but it didn't make a difference.

Additional Information:

The touchpad isn't detected in Linux Lite's "Mouse and Touchpad" settings.
Since I bought a SD card to free my storage space at my SSD, I had operational troubles. At first, my LL didn't recognize the SD card. I did a research, and eventually solve the problem. But afterwards my laptop started to freeze at the time I put the SD card in the slot ! My LL is updated. This SD card runs smoothly at other devices, like my smartphone and my tablet.

Hi

I'm new to Linux.. so hoping I can, firstly, get some help.. and secondly that I can understand how to implement the suggestions! Here goes..

I have an iMac 2009. I recently upgraded from the HDD to a SSD, but in that process the HDD sensor is now not functioning. This means that the fan that is meant to keep the HDD/SSD cool runs at its maximum speed.

When I was on Mac OS I was able to download several apps that could control the HDD fan and lower the speed when required (which was most of the time).

Now that I'm on Linux Lite, I am struggling to find a way that I can control the HDD fan.

I've tried several forums suggestions:

https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=42737
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/other...onstantly/
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux4noobs/com...for_linux/
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/on-to...-controle/

Most (I think all) refer to sensors... but the nuance with my situation is that there is no sensor present! Is there a way to simply change the fan speed without addressing anything about its sensor?

Hoping for some help!
