I have 2 PC's running Windows 7 and both have Firefox as the default browser. I have created an account with Firefox and can log into my account on either PC with the same credentials. I have also ser up sync and was hoping to use this to update all of my Firefox settings in LLOS 5. I seem to recall being able to do this in LLOS 4.8. However when I try to login to my Firefox account using the same credentials, I get "unknown account". I have tried this many times and continue to get the error.

I wonder if LL can be set by default to stick with what works and refuse kernel updates, sticking to the stable LTS kernels. It might prevent some of the "broken after updating" issues that happen with older hardware.

Hi
I'm running LL 5.0 on a Packard Bell EasyNote laptop. I installed it about 2 months ago and have been running it without issues since then. There are no other OSs installed on this machine.
This morning the system notified me of available updates, which I installed immediately. I don't have a record of the updates in question. Once the update was completed, the system suggested I restart the laptop to complete the installation, which I did.
After restart, the laptop keyboard stopped working and I was unable to type my password to login. None of the keys worked. The touchpad was functional.
Eventually, I connected an external USB keyboard and was able to login using that. However, I've been unable to get the keyboard to work (restarted the laptop several times). The keyboard seems to work in grub/bios but never after that.
The keyboard is listed when running xinput list. Enabling/disabling the device in xinput makes no difference. The touchpad clicking mechanism works, but the cursor movement doesn't.
I'm at a loss as to what the problem might be. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Guys, I have just booted to Linux lite, with a view to installing it, to revive an old laptop, which I intend to give to a homeless charity. All seem to work. But I can't SU to root!!
I have tried "linux" "admin" and "root".. No joy!
What password should I use?

Hi All,
Newbie mog here. I have just installed Linux Lite on an old Asus Eee 904HD, I formerly had Linux Mint 19.3 on it, but whilst it worked it was very slow, so after some research I decided to give LL a try, I eventually managed to correct the automatic num lock problem (Who on earth decided that that was a good idea!!?).
Now the problem...
Since I installed LL on the machine whenever I apply mains power it auto boots, this has only happened since LL was put on it, I admit it's not the end of the world but it is at times irritating, sometimes I use the machine and all I want do is recharge the battery but as soon as the power is switched on it boots.
Can anybody help?
Beers
mog
