Hello,
used public domain image of the girl meditating, fixed her hair line as it was broken, fixed her make up as it was half outside her face, recoloured every area of the image 100% in Gimp.
Made the rest myself in Gimp.
Used the pepper brush and put a pepper in her hand as it just seemed nice idea.

Just now getting into the Bevel Reflect Logo plug in. It isn't just a plug in, it's an application all of its own. utterly amazing. Has another side benefit, it creates a sphere from the chosen list of Gradients used for the font. Most were discarded, weren't very interesting save for this one in particular. The original appeared to have two parallel rivers flowing across it and thought something interesting may come of them. There are four variants. Here are numbers two and three respectively. There was no fracture initially...that came later.






Didn't play around with colors at first, as shown in example two above. With example three below, just let 'er fly.

This font is called "Medusa", and is now my favorite of the Gothics contained in my font listing. There were numerous failed attempts with this one before finally producing something that may be worth presenting.

Installed DeaDBeeF 0.6.2 and, after experimenting with Design mode and plugins, created a simple layout to match the Watermark Grey theme.

I'm a subscriber to BT Broadband Unlimited andI've had the oddest problem over the past couple of weeks.  Every time I launch my browser (any browser) I get connected to BT Wi-fi-with-FON instead of directly through my normal router connection. Even when I try to change it manually via the task bar icon it stubbornly resists - sometimes many times.

Funny thing is that I have no such problem with my tablet nor does my son with his Windows (excuse the foul language) machine. Only on my laptop with LL.

Any ideas how on to fix this, folks?

Don't get me wrong, I am a big Firefox fan and have been for many many years. I remember using it when it was called "Firebird" before they were forced to change the name.

But now, it seems like a resource hog to me. In order to use flash you need to use the outdated flash plugin for linux. And when you do I noticed resource usage jumps depending on the page you visit (with flash animation ads, etc). Yeah, you can turn off the plugin and turn it on when you need it, buy why should anyone need to do this. I am sure when the entire internet moves to HTML5 life will be better...but that may take some time

As most know, recently Netflix natively supports Google Chrome by default. This is GREAT news...something I did not expect to happen at all to be quite honest. I have been yearning for native Netflix support in Linux for years now. Now it is a reality. Not having Netflix in the past was one of the main reasons most of the people I know would not leave Windows believe it or not. I know the Mozilla team has their reasons for not working with the Netflix DRM, but honestly it is killing them. The average user does not care about the underlying controversy. They just want to watch stuff on Netflix. Now that is a non-issue thankfully. Not to mention that Chrome has the latest flash technologies embedded in the browser. No plugin needed. And it feels faster than Firefox.

Again, I have been a Firefox fan for more years than I can remember and I am not a huge fan of Google products....but I have to look at it from a usability standpoint. Chrome works out of the box (without added plugins) for more of the internet as we know it today. It is faster and not nearly as much of a resource hog. It is worked on much more often. It just works.

I think it should be the default browser with Firefox as an optional download. Just my opinion.
