Steam EAC isssue - Fail to load the anticheat module

Cause: This is due to DT_HASH being removed and replaced by DT_GNU_HASH in Glibc 2.34 and higher versions. Though, Most users detected it running Glibc 2.36 versions. This error is for games that require EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) in Steam such as Rogue Company, Mutliversus, Bloodhunt, etc.
Picture of error:
https://www.phoronix.net/image.php?id=20...borked_eac
Solution: Gentoo, Arch, and other non Ubuntu/Debian distros have patched their Linux Operating system to include both DT_HASH and DT_GNU_HASH in "--hash-style=both". I am not a programmer and still learning Linux to know what this means. Just did my research on the issue to help Linux Lite be the first of Ubuntu/Debian distros to resolve this issue since there isn't any fix for them besides using an older version of Glibc less than 2.34 by downgrading to an older version of Linux OS version from distro. Testing, Rolling, and Development versions of distros didn't resolve the issue either when checking to see if their is an updated version of Glibc that may resolve the issue from the Terminal. I hope this can be resolved as stated above or some other way that Linux Lite devs may know. In case more information is needed, check out the following links:

Not sure about this 'EFI' stuff...

Morning, guys.
Long-term Linux user here, though most of that has been with 'Puppy' Linux. ("Jeezus...", I hear you say..!) :011:
Haven't used 'mainstream' Linux since Ubuntu Trusty, so I'm a wee bit rusty on this stuff.....and things have changed somewhat in the intervening years.
Been trying to install LL 6.0 64-bit this morning, and have come across something of a snag. I wanted to install LL 6.0 to an external USB 3.0 SSD. Although this is a UEFI machine, I run it in 'legacy' mode with SecureBoot/FastBoot disabled, 'cos Puppy won't have it any other way.
I can select the drive to use, location of bootloader, etc - this will be self-contained, with the bootloader on the same SSD - and chainloaded from Puppy's main boot menu (I run around a dozen Puppies). It keeps telling me it can't find an EFI partition..?? And from what I can gather, LL doesn't use UEFI, so.....what's going on here?
Specs:-
HP Pavilion desktop PC
Pentium 'Gold' G5400
32GB DDR4
1 TB Crucial MX500 SSD
3 TB Seagate Barracuda secondary 'data' drive
Asus GeForce GT 710 GPU
TIA, guys. Cheers!
Mike. :003:

Could you please suggest where to force system-wide screen resolution?

Hi!
Where i should set screen resolution for whole system, including startup screens(after video driver loaded), login screen and all the user sessions?
The thing is my monitor is not recognized properly, so the resolution OS uses is 1024x768. When i push proper video mode(1366x768) into xorg.conf and select it in display settings within a user account, it affects only that account. Login screen and another users still enjoy 1024x768.
When i enforce proper resolution in lightdm.conf with 'display-setup-script=xrandr -s 1366x768', i see it "changes" screen resolution (from 1366x768 to 1366x768, haha) on every entering login screen(logout, change user...), independently it is already properly set or not.
There obviously must be a place where system-wide screen resolution is set. Resolution changes are mostly hardware-driven(connect/disconnect display) but not user login/logout-driven: users pass by while hardware remains. "display-setup-script" of lightdm.conf, of course, helps, but it breaks the concept... :o

Hi All
I just installed Lite a couple of days ago and am very pleased with the OS except for one thing; on my old Acer laptop (Pentium P6200, 3gb RAM, 500GB HD, on which I cleared everything before installation) the machine is taking around 3 minutes to boot. Any suggestions?
Many thanks for any help.

Issues with touchpad (ETPS/2 Elantech)

Hey im new to linux lite. Yesterday i installed it on my older notebook (Acer Aspire E1-771) because win10 been way to heavy for him.
Im really surprised how useable this notebook got, otherwise it could been went straight to the bin.
Everything went fine, but i noticed my touchpad worked little weird. Even if the touchpad felt really good and responsible, the scroll bar been on 50% of the whole right side of the touchpad.
So i spend some after hours for a solution. I found out the driver my touchpad is using is synaptics, so i watched for some update or other version of it.
Somewhere i found this code Code: sudo apt remove xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Code: apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
I restarted my notebook and saw the issue was gone, but i got another one. Touchpad now works everywhere but it feels really bad and the cursor is shivering.
At the Mouse and Touchpad Setting i tryed to tweek the Pointer Speed but looks like this setting arent even responding.
In the Mouse and Touchpad Settings its say my Device is ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad.
Any ideas ?
How to reinstall synaptics ?

Just noticed "2 Important updates available " when I click on install I see that they are - to "update login" and "update password" - call me paranoid but are these bona fide and genuine updates ? - I cancelled the update until such times as I can establish that these are genuine updates so would appreciate any assistance you can offer
