Hello!
Your specific definition of 'off-topic' confuses me as to whether or not what I'd like to post is (!) 'off "off-topic", This cannot help but to confuse others, also.
To avoid any misunderstandings, I will send you a copy of what I'd like to post over IM or IRC to get a clarification of your specific policies, as they pertain to what I'd like to post...

Hello! ???
Unless they're closely guarded secrets, is there any way you folks could share the .conkyrc files used in the screenshots? Your assistance would be appreciated.
There are TENS of THOUSANDS of them on the Ubuntu Forums. I might DIE before I see them all!

I am trying to install a Samsung SCX-4200 laser printer. I have checked out the Samsung site and it doesn't show a linux driver. I've also trolled the internet for the last 3 days and the only thing I can come up with is 'Splix'.
I had a look at the install guide and it might as well be in Japanese :-\
Can anyone walk me though acquiring and installing a driver for this big lump of plastic & metal that is sat in the corner occupying valuable living space?
Thanks...... I've attached a system info doc, because I can!

Advice if you can please........................... I have an old Dell Inspiron 1000 comp, Celeron ® CPU 2.20GHz, 448MB Ram, Mobile Intel®, that I want to install Linux Lite on.The problem being that the Inspiron range does not have WiFi. I have been looking in Ebay & Amazon, Googling 'Ubuntu WiFi card' but I just get lost in all the tech stuff. I have managed to ascertain a 'Massive' (joke)chunk of info in that the card I require is an '802. 11b/g' model.
I was wondering if the Asus Usb-N10 USB Wireless Adapter might do the job? It seems to me to have the correct requirements but it is advertised by PC World as only being compatible with Ubuntu 9.04 (?).
Thanks for any advice you can give. 8)

Hi All, as you can tell from the name I'm escaping from my old and trusted XP OS as Microsoft are going to let the old 'lady' get ravaged by the hoards of ravaging hackers at the end of March. I'm sorry to say I have absolutely no idea of Linux systems so I may be begging for help for a while as I get up and running - hope you will put up with me.

opt/google/chrome/chrome: /build/buildd/cairo-1.10.2/src/cairo-surface.c:1287: cairo_surface_set_device_offset: Assertion `status == CAIRO_STATUS_SUCCESS' failed.

I tried to listen to Pandora, but they say I need to upgrade my browser or install a version of Flash newer than v10.0.
This is what in the systeminfo log for Flash:
ii flashplugin-installer 11.2.202.336ubuntu0.12.04.1 Adobe Flash Player plugin installer
This is Firefox:
i firefox 27.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 Safe and easy web browser from Mozilla
That looks OK to me. I've visited Youtube and have no problems there. Am I overlooking something??
Thanks for any help.
