| ubuntu-support-status (command) |

Hi all,
before downloading and installing Linux Lite 6.0 I wanted to run some tests on it making use of distrotest (https://distrotest.net/Linux%20Lite ).
Basically that went well but there´s one thing I don´t quite understand:
When running the command Code: ubuntu-support-status
I got the following answer:
Code: 2117 packages installed
0 receive package updates with LTS until 4/2027
[...]
I realize distrotest doesn´t have internet connection enabled but that shouldn´t have anything to do with it ...
... as I ran a distrotest instance for Lubuntu 22.04 as well - for the sake of comparison (https://distrotest.net/Lubuntu ).
The same conditions applied here but I got the following output:
Code: 1759 packages installed
1272 receive package updates with LTS until 4/2027
[...]
Does anyone have any ideas why the command "ubuntu-support-status" doesn´t seem to work (correctly) with Linux Lite? :022:
Is it the same when using an installed OS?
Thanks a lot for your help in advance.
Many greetings
Rosika :wave
BTW:
I made screenshots but I don´t seem to be able (or allowed) to upload them.

Howdy folks,
I've read Jerry's rules on posting on the forum and have done my best to abide. As a new Linux OS user who's entire computer life personal and in business revolved around Windows, the Linux world is very unfamiliar. I'm not a coder nor have I built computers I'm simply a user who has had to deal with ass wagons with Microsoft when technical issues came up. Those of you who know everything about Linux need to be just a bit less abrasive and a tad more tolerant towards us who are new to the world of Linux because we don't know much. So I ask, when I encounter a problem with what ever it might be that gives me concern what am I to do? It seems that what Jerry is leaning towards is to exhaust all avenues with software, hardware, glitches, updates before coming to the forum to ask a question; I really want to know.
I chose to download the Linux Lite OS after a long and deep search of Linux distros that were light on resources of older machines that took me almost a year, because there are a lot of distros out there. I like Linux Lite for the most part, it runs very well on my laptop and I have it set up to mimic my Windows 7 set up that I am comfortable with, that is the good. The bad is finding a way to get my Canon laser printer to work and it has been a struggle and so I can only use the printer on Windows 7 for now, hopefully in the near future I will find a solution to get it to work. I won't ask any more questions on the forum for now, I will research the problems myself online and search the forum last as i am done with being talked down to.

Howdy folks,
When I go to the command line and check that clamav is up to date it said your clamav version is out of date and gives me a link to the home page of clamav? What gives? I thought that it automatically updated when sudo clamfresh is typed in. Does anyone know what is going on by any chance, I use the clamtk ui to do my scans would this have anything to do with it?

I just loaded a copy of LL latest version to my friends Asus UL80V laptop and now when booted-up, the cap lock in always turned on preventing a log in unless he notices this and turns this off. How can he permanently turn off CAP-LOC at boot up? BIOS or other?
Thank you.

Hi;
I recently installed Linux Lite 6.0 from a live usb boot stick. As I watch this thing boot, It would seem that the live usb boot did not install Linux Lite to the Hard drive, but rather installed a persistent "live" image to my hard drive ( casper tries to check md5 sums on the iso image, I am getting boot time errors for hardware that I do not have (bluetooth, and hdmi port). I am a bit pi$$ed off if what I suspect is true. Comments?
later
