Hola Mundo Linux, soy realmente nuevo en este universo maravilloso de linux, recientemente instale linux lite 5.6, en mi HP-MINI 110-3000, va de maravilla, sin embargo tengo dos problemas :

1.- Problema Con conexión WIFI - se desconecta constantemente.

Al iniciar el equipo y conectarme al WIFI de forma correcta, al poco tiempo deja de navegar en Internet, La HP-MINI tiene un botón de activar/desactivar WIFI y es molesto activar y desactivar el wifi constantemente cuando estoy trabajando y hasta ahora es la única opción que tengo para volver a tener conexión a Internet.
¿Existe una solución para que no se pierda la conexión Internet constantemente? Mi conexión de Internet es estable, solo pasa en este equipo.

El equipo es para que mi madre también lo pueda usar, pero ella, no sabe mucho de las computadoras, así que puede ser complicado decirle que hacer cuando no se conecta a Internet.

2.- Problema con Conexión Ethernet - no navega.

Al conectar el cable la PC, si reconoce que se encuentra conectado a un cable, pero no navega, ni tiene Internet, he buscado distintas soluciones pero aun no he dado con la solución.
¿que puedo hacer para navegar en Internet de forma normal por el cable Ethernet?

El cable se encuentra en perfecto estado conecto otros equipos y si tienen acceso a Internet sin ningún problema, solo le pasa a este equipo.

J'avais juste utilisé Ubuntu et MINT sur PC de bureau et je viens de retrouver 1 LAPTOP HP (Le STREAM), très léger, qui ne se mettait plus à jour en WIN 10 s (only 32 go Hd en e-MMc )
Mon but, Faire Léger... et faire tourner du matos ancien
j'ai installé Votre dernière version, car peu exigeante... .. ca marche, sauf l'accès à internet .. Comment paramétrer la connexion, ai bien noté à l'écran de saisie Connexion, qu'il n'y avait que la WI-Fi (car pas de prise réseau), ma box émet bien..; SSID :  j'ai mis le code donné par SFR, mais le reste ? ? ?

Update:Switched to Brave browser w/ad blocker. All good.

Hi guys,

I tried to run old pc games under Wine with some success. For instance the old Pyramids runner, Fred Remake V1.3.1 runs nicely under Wine in Linux Lite. However, Scorched Earth does not start. In fact, besides thinking a little bit (the mouse arrow has this running circle), nothing else happens.
None of the two softwares require installation. They run directly from their folder under Windows XP.
Any suggestion?

I just installed LL. First I booted on the USB key and it used to look like LL - it was beautiful.

After install, it looks like a regular xfce desktop (except lite applications) : taskbar is on top of the creen, it looks as bad as usual xfce desktop... Looks like a theme is missing or not applied but where to fix it?

I've an old Asus motherboard P5KPL AM/PS and it does not support EFI mode.
Currently i've win7 x86 (and linux lite 3.6) on MBR on BIOS
Now, i got 4gb ram so i think i should upgrade things.

Now what i want is:
Win 7/8.1 x64 bit whichever can boot with GPT on BIOS

is this possible?
and will linux lite (latest) work with such combination?

I don't know how to get my wifi adapter to work in Windows works perfectly but Linux Lite 5.6 doesn't even recognize it
I have dualboot so in Windows my wifi adapter is Realtek 8723DU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB NIC
