| 3.8: How to place the task bar at the top of the screen? |

Hi everyone,
I've searched this forum, and in other places, and found nothing that does work on my copy of 3.8 (because 32-bit-only on my 2006 MacBook Pro) about placing the task bar / menu bar at the top of the screen, so I thought I'd ask.
Supposedly, all you have to do is unlock it via the Properties applet, and drag-drop it where you want to put it, but that doesn't work for me.
I even tried to set it on the side, then drag-and-drop it, the way you would in Windows, but that doesn't work either.
I want to install Plank at the bottom of the screen, and sure enough, the menu bar gets in the way, big time. Of course, I could hide it altogether, but then I'd lose the clock and all the other icons in the notification area.
What should I do?

I tried reading some of the previous post about drives, but didn't find anything that worked. If I missed one I'm sorry.
A couple of months ago I could live my computer on for weeks and my usb external hard drive would stay connected. Now if I leave it sit for any length of time I have to hard boot my computer in order to get it to work again. I feel like it is going to sleep or something, I can't even use terminal when this happens as it is all jambed up. And the restart function just goes to a blank page until I hard boot and start over.
I don't use my computer for a lot so I guess it's not an end of life thing, but it is anoying.
Any one have an idea what setting I need to change?
Thanks,

![[Image: 7UtvPuQ.png]](https://i.imgur.com/7UtvPuQ.png)
![[Image: GzpQRsw.png]](https://i.imgur.com/GzpQRsw.png)
![[Image: k7qa8mm.png]](https://i.imgur.com/k7qa8mm.png)
![[Image: 2n89Rb1.png]](https://i.imgur.com/2n89Rb1.png)
![[Image: wGM0Pxi.png]](https://i.imgur.com/wGM0Pxi.png)
![[Image: yNsNxm8.png]](https://i.imgur.com/yNsNxm8.png)
A Español
![[Image: QYt0V61.png]](https://i.imgur.com/QYt0V61.png)
![[Image: 2i0kKrN.png]](https://i.imgur.com/2i0kKrN.png)

| Problem with wbar-config after installing Wbar |

Installed one of my favorite docks...wbar... after initial installation of 5.2.
Setup was more or less fine, but now wen I click on the icon wbar provides to
add or edit applications, the screen comes up but it is not responsive for up to
30 seconds. Then it becomes active and can be used fine.
I know this application is old...as far as I know it hasn't been updated
since 2012 or 2013, but I also have it on my Debian Bullseye and Fedora 33 partitions
and there are no problems with it there.
wbar-config is the problem.
In addition I installed Rox-filer oday and found similar lag problems.
The common thread is that they both use GTK2-0. Other GTK3-0
software doesn't exhibit this problem.
Has anyone experienced this or does anyone have a possible solution ??
Thanks
